Early morning departure from Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains. The drive passes through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and scenic mountain valleys before reaching the village of Imi Oughlad (1,450 m), the starting point of the trek. From here, the majestic peaks of the Atlas rise before us, including Jbel Toubkal (4,167 m), Aglzim (3,650 m) and Aksoual (3,847 m). Meet the Berber muleteer team and begin the trek along a zigzag mule path, ideal for acclimatization. About 2 hours of hiking through cultivated fields, pine forests and juniper trees lead to Tizi n’Tachte (2,000 m), offering panoramic views over the Imlil and Aït Oussaden valleys. Continue to Imi n’Ifri for a picnic lunch, then descend gradually for around 2.5 hours along a dirt track through the Assif n’Aït Oussaden valley to the Berber village of Tiziane (1,750 m). Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional guesthouse or bivouac. -
Day 2: Tiziane – Tizi n’Taghrhourte – D’knt (Agouns n’Assoul)
After breakfast, hike gently up the Assif n’Aït Oussaden valley, passing through beautiful walnut groves and authentic Berber villages. Ascend to Tizi n’Taghrhourte (1,995 m), then continue across a rare, almost flat plateau to reach Assaka Spring. Picnic lunch in a peaceful natural setting after about 2.5 hours of easy walking. In the afternoon, descend along the forest edge to the Berber village of D’knt (1,870 m), also known as Agouns n’Assoul. Dinner and overnight in a bivouac or mountain guesthouse. -
Day 3: D’knt – Tizi n’Tagdalte – Azib n’Tamsoult

Very early departure (around 6:00 am) for the ascent of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. After approximately 3 hours of steep climbing, reach the summit at 4,167 m, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views over the High Atlas Mountains. Descend via the South Cirque (Ikkhibi Sud) back to the refuge for lunch.
